Miracle on 34th Street (1994) - Still a Miracle

Momoko Yamashiro, OCU

We think the best movie we've watched so far at the Movie Club is "Miracle on 34th Street". The original film was made in 1947, but it was remade in 1994 by Les Mayfield. This story remains great - even though 50 years have passed since the original production. At its heart, the story is about whether Santa really exists. We'd always thought that Santa didn't exist, but after we watched this movie, we really began to feel that Santa could exist in the world. The film tells us something good about believing and having faith. We think these are important qualities of being human. We recommend all people watch the film, especially those who have not see it yet. The story will change your Christmas, and hopefully more!
